Free IT health check
Want a second opinion on your IT? A technician reviews your office's computers, accounts, backups, security, network and suppliers, then gives you a short written report: what is working, what is at risk and what it would cost to fix.
- No charge and no obligation
- About an hour on site, plus a follow-up meeting
- Plain-English report that you keep
- Nothing changed without your say-so
What we check
Eight areas that cover the problems we find most often in offices of five to seventy-five people.
Devices
Age, warranty, updates and security software on every computer.
Accounts
Who has access to what, multi-factor sign-in and leftover accounts from past staff.
Phishing protection and the domain records that stop others sending as you.
Backups
What is backed up, how often, where to, and whether a restore actually works.
Network
Firewall, switches, Wi-Fi coverage and the state of the comms cupboard.
Microsoft 365
Licences, file storage, sharing settings and security features you already pay for.
Suppliers
Internet, phones and software contracts: what you pay and what you get.
Risks
The gaps that would hurt most, ranked, with a plain-English fix and a price for each.
Why offices ask for one
Most businesses ask for a health check after a scare: a scam email that nearly worked, a laptop that died with the only copy of a file, or an internet outage that stopped a whole day's work. Others are simply unsure whether their current provider is doing what they are paid for.
The report answers the questions business owners actually ask. Are our backups working? Would we survive a ransomware attack? Are we paying for things we don't use? Which computers need replacing this year, and what will that cost? What would our insurer think of our security?
If you already have an IT provider, the report is a useful thing to take back to them. If you don't, it becomes the plan for fixing the biggest risks first. Either way, you will know where you stand.
What happens on the day
A technician arrives at the time you choose and spends about an hour with whoever knows the most about your setup. We look at a sample of computers, the comms cupboard, the internet connection, the Wi-Fi in the busiest rooms and the admin side of Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace. We note what is installed, how old it is and how it is protected. Nothing is changed and no software is left behind.
Within a few days you receive a short report: a one-page summary in plain English, followed by the detail for whoever looks after IT. Every risk is ranked as urgent, important or worth planning for, with a fixed price or estimate to put it right. We then meet for half an hour to go through it and answer questions. What you do next is up to you.
Book a time using the form above and tell us roughly how many people work in the office.
Health check questions
Is it really free?
Yes. There is no charge and no obligation. It takes about an hour on site and a short follow-up meeting to go through the report.
What do you need from us?
Half an hour with whoever knows the most about your setup, and access to the comms cupboard. We'll ask for admin access only if you're happy to give it.
Will you change anything?
No. The health check only looks. Nothing is changed unless you ask us to.
Who gets the report?
You do, and it's yours to keep, whether or not you work with us.
