Managed IT in Invercargill
Hand your IT to a team that already knows your setup. One monthly price per person covers the help desk, security, updates, Microsoft 365 and backups, with technicians who come on site when a problem needs hands.
Invercargill is supported remotely. Our technicians are based in Auckland and Hamilton, so onsite work here is planned project work, booked and quoted in advance.
Managed IT for Invercargill businesses
Invercargill is Southland's main city, servicing a large farming region with meat and dairy processing, agricultural services, engineering, heavy industry, education and health, plus the professional firms that support them. Much of the city's professional work is done by small local teams that serve clients across the wider region.
Rural service firms here support clients spread across Southland's farms, many on rural connections, and engineering and processing businesses run workshops and plant alongside office systems. Remote support and cloud systems help firms that find it hard to hire local IT staff.
Managed IT replaces that with a team whose job is to keep your systems running. We learn your setup once and write it down. We watch your computers, network and Microsoft 365 for problems, apply updates, check the backups and fix issues before most people notice them. When someone needs help, they email or log a request and talk to a technician who already has your notes.
We support Invercargill businesses remotely for help desk, security, Microsoft 365 and backups. Onsite visits are for planned projects by arrangement and quoted in writing. Equipment for workshops or new offices can be specified remotely and fitted by a local installer.
What's included
Security
Threat detection on every computer, email filtering, multi-factor sign-in and the settings that stop the common attacks.
Help desk
Staff email or log a request and get a technician, not a call centre. Most fixes happen remotely within the same session.
Planning
A regular review of what is ageing, what is at risk and what to budget for next year. No surprises in March.
Updates and patching
Windows, Mac and business apps updated on a schedule, with failures followed up rather than ignored.
Backups that are checked
Microsoft 365 and server backups monitored daily, with a restore test so you know the backup actually works.
Onsite technicians
When something needs hands - a dead switch, a new printer, a desk move - a technician comes to your office in Auckland or Hamilton.
Is it right for your Invercargill office?
Managed IT suits offices that rely on their computers every day but don't want to employ an IT person. It is usually a fit if:
- You have between 3 and 75 staff
- Nobody on the team owns IT, or the person who does has a different day job
- You have had a scare: lost files, a scam email, a long outage
- You want a fixed monthly IT cost instead of surprise bills
- Your insurer or a client is asking about your cyber security
How getting started works
- Free IT health check. We look at your devices, accounts, backups and network and tell you what we find, in plain English.
- Clear proposal. A written monthly price per user and a list of any fixes, with nothing hidden.
- Handover. We collect admin access and documentation from your current provider and keep your team working.
- Day-one fixes. Security gaps, failed backups and urgent risks are dealt with first.
Managed IT in Invercargill: questions
We can't find local IT staff. Can remote managed IT work for us?
Yes. Most of the work, from updates and security to helping staff, is done remotely. Physical work is handled with planned visits or a local installer we coordinate.
Do you support farm service businesses?
Yes. We manage laptops and phones for staff working across farms, secure client records and set up file sharing that copes with slow rural connections.
How much does managed IT cost?
Our plans are $69, $119 and $169 per user per month plus GST. A user is one person; their computer and phone are included. We recommend the $119 Managed plan for most offices. The full breakdown is on the pricing page.
What is not included?
Hardware, software licences and projects such as an office move, new server or full cabling job. Those are quoted in writing first, with no surprise invoices.
Is there a contract or lock-in?
No fixed-term contract. Plans run month to month with 30 days' notice. If you leave, we hand over your passwords, documentation and admin access in an orderly way.
How do we switch from our current provider?
We arrange the handover. We collect admin access and documentation, check backups and security on day one and tell you what we found. Your team keeps working while we take over.
