Microsoft 365 for Cambridge businesses

Cambridge is a Waikato town about 20 minutes southeast of Hamilton on the expressway, known for thoroughbred breeding and equestrian businesses, with a strong professional services, retail and hospitality centre and many rural service firms serving surrounding dairy farms.

Firms in town usually have fibre, but clients and staff on studs and farms around Cambridge may rely on fixed wireless or satellite, and equine and farm businesses need Wi-Fi that reaches stables, sheds and offices spread across a property. Professional practices hold client financial and property records that need solid security.

Microsoft 365 is where most offices now keep their email, files and calendars. It is powerful, but the defaults leave plenty to be desired: shared files end up in one person's OneDrive, leavers' mailboxes disappear, and security features you are already paying for sit switched off.

Cambridge visits are booked from Hamilton for installs, networks and onsite faults, and everyday support is done remotely. Rural property work is surveyed and quoted first.

What's included

Licence advice

Basic, Standard or Premium? We match licences to how each person works, so you don't pay for features nobody uses.

Ongoing admin

Starters, leavers, shared mailboxes, distribution lists and licence changes handled as you need them.

Email migration

Mail, calendars and contacts moved from your old system with no gap in delivery.

Copilot readiness

Before you add Microsoft Copilot, we check who can see what, so it can't surface files people shouldn't read.

File migration

Shared drives and old servers moved into SharePoint and Teams, with permissions that make sense.

Backup

Daily backup of mail, OneDrive, SharePoint and Teams, because Microsoft's own retention is not a backup.

Everything about Microsoft 365

Is it right for your Cambridge office?

We can help if:

  • You are still on an old email server or a hosting company's mail
  • Company files live on one person's laptop or OneDrive
  • You are paying for licences you don't understand
  • You are moving from Google Workspace
  • You want to use Copilot but aren't sure your data is ready

  2. Clear proposal. A written monthly price per user and a list of any fixes, with nothing hidden.
  3. Handover. We collect admin access and documentation from your current provider and keep your team working.
  4. Day-one fixes. Security gaps, failed backups and urgent risks are dealt with first.

Microsoft 365 in Cambridge: questions

Can you get Wi-Fi to stables and sheds on our property near Cambridge?

Yes, using point-to-point wireless links or outdoor-rated cabling to buildings, with access points where staff need coverage. We survey the property and quote the low-voltage work in writing.

Do you come out to Cambridge or only support remotely?

Both. Technicians travel from Hamilton for planned visits and hands-on work, and most everyday issues are solved remotely.

How long does a migration take?

A small office usually moves over a few days with the switch done in one evening. Larger file migrations are planned in stages.

Do you support Google Workspace too?

Yes. If Google suits you better we support it, and we move businesses in either direction.

Which Microsoft 365 plan do we need?

Most offices need Business Standard for the desktop apps and Teams, or Business Premium if they want stronger security and device management. Frontline and Basic suit staff who only need email.

Will we lose email during the move?

No. We copy existing mail first, then switch delivery at a quiet time and copy the last few messages, so nothing is lost.
