Office moves & fit-outs in Glenfield

The furniture is the easy part of moving offices. The internet connection that takes weeks to install, the cabling that has to go in before the ceiling closes and the network that must work at nine on Monday are where moves go wrong. We plan the IT side from the first floor plan to day one.

Onsite technicians cover Glenfield. Most problems are fixed remotely first; when a job needs hands, a technician comes to you.

Office moves & fit-outs for Glenfield businesses

Glenfield combines a suburban town centre with small business units, medical and dental practices, tutoring and childcare centres, and service businesses run by locals. It sits beside the Wairau Valley commercial area, and plenty of trades and consultants work from home offices nearby.

Typical Glenfield businesses have three to twenty staff, cloud accounting and a mix of personal and company devices. The quickest improvements are usually separating guest and staff Wi-Fi, replacing an internet provider's basic router with a business firewall, and making sure email and files are properly backed up rather than trusting the cloud alone.

We get involved early, ideally when you are still choosing a building. We check what internet services are available at the address, tell you how long they take and order them as soon as the lease is signed. We mark up the floor plan with data points, Wi-Fi access points, screens and the comms cupboard, and give the builder and electrician a clear specification to work to, before any walls go up.

We send technicians to Glenfield offices and practices for setups and fixes, and handle most requests remotely. Monthly plans and pay as you go both work for smaller teams.

What's included

Building check

Before you sign, we check internet availability, existing cabling, the comms cupboard and phone and mobile coverage at the new address.

Cabling and Wi-Fi design

Data points, access point positions and the comms cabinet marked on the floor plan, with a written specification for the cabling installer.

Network build

Firewall, switches and Wi-Fi installed and tested at the new site before any staff arrive.

Internet ordering

Fibre and a backup connection ordered early, with lead times tracked and chased so the line is live before move day.

Builder and electrician coordination

We work with your fit-out team so data cabling, power for equipment and ceiling access happen in the right order.

Move weekend

Computers, servers, printers and screens labelled, packed, moved and reconnected, with each one checked against the plan.

Everything about Office moves & fit-outs

Is it right for your Glenfield office?

Bring us in early if:

  • You are choosing between buildings and want to know the internet options
  • A fit-out is starting and the builder needs a cabling plan
  • Your move date is fixed and the internet hasn't been ordered yet
  • You are expanding into a second floor or another tenancy
  • You want staff working normally on the first morning in the new office

How getting started works

  1. Free IT health check. We look at your devices, accounts, backups and network and tell you what we find, in plain English.
  2. Clear proposal. A written monthly price per user and a list of any fixes, with nothing hidden.
  3. Handover. We collect admin access and documentation from your current provider and keep your team working.
  4. Day-one fixes. Security gaps, failed backups and urgent risks are dealt with first.

Office moves & fit-outs in Glenfield: questions

Isn't Microsoft 365 already backed up?

Microsoft keeps the service running, but it is not a full backup of your mail and files in the way most businesses assume. A separate Microsoft 365 backup lets you recover deleted or encrypted data from a point in time, and we include it in our plans.

We want a guest Wi-Fi for clients. Is that complicated?

No. With a business access point and firewall we set up a separate guest network that gives internet access only, so visitors never see your computers or printers.

Should we buy new equipment for the move?

A move is a good time to replace ageing switches, Wi-Fi or a tired server, because the work is happening anyway. We'll tell you what is worth moving and what isn't.

How early should we involve you?

As early as possible, and at least two to three months before the move. Business fibre can take several weeks, longer where a new connection to the building is needed, and cabling has to be planned before walls and ceilings are closed.

What if the internet isn't ready in time?

We plan a fallback, usually a temporary wireless or mobile broadband connection, so the office can open even if the fibre install slips.

Do you install the cabling?

We design the network cabling and Wi-Fi, specify it and manage the installer, or do smaller low-voltage cabling jobs ourselves. Power outlets and any mains wiring are done by a registered electrician.
