IT support for marketing and PR agencies
Agencies juggle big creative files, many clients' social accounts and embargoed news, often on a mix of Macs and PCs. We keep that work fast, organised and secure without slowing the creative team down.

IT for marketing & pr agencies
Marketing, creative and PR agencies have an unusual IT profile. Designers and video editors need powerful Macs, large calibrated screens and fast storage for files that run to tens of gigabytes. Account managers live in email, presentations and client chat. Social and digital teams hold the keys to client brands on every major platform. A small agency can have all of these in one room, and each group feels let down by IT designed for a standard office.
The security risk is easy to underestimate. A compromised social media account or ad account can publish damaging content under a client's brand or spend their budget in hours. PR teams handle embargoed announcements, crisis communications and media lists that would be valuable to a competitor or a journalist ahead of time. Freelancers come and go on projects, and shared logins tend to linger long after the work is done.
Office IT supports agencies with three to seventy-five people on Mac, Windows or both. We manage Apple and Windows devices properly, set up storage and networks that cope with large creative files, put client platform logins into a shared password manager with multi-factor sign-in, and manage access for freelancers. Our technicians work onsite in Auckland and Hamilton, and remotely for agencies anywhere else in New Zealand, so a studio in Wellington or Christchurch gets the same help desk and device management.
Common IT problems in this industry
Mixed Mac and Windows teams
Creative staff use Macs while finance and account teams may use Windows. Support that only knows one platform leaves half the agency stranded.
Huge creative files
Video projects, layered artwork and photo libraries choke slow networks and fill laptop drives quickly.
Client social and ad accounts
Logins to client social media, ad platforms and website admin panels are often shared over chat and rarely protected properly.
Embargoed and crisis material
PR teams hold announcements and crisis plans that must not leak before the agreed time.
Freelancers and contractors
Short-term creatives need access quickly and should lose it as soon as a project ends, which rarely happens on its own.
Software licence sprawl
Creative suites, stock libraries, design tools and fonts are licensed per person, and unused seats quietly cost money every month.
What we set up for you
Proper Mac management
Macs are enrolled in device management with encryption, updates and remote wipe, alongside your Windows machines in one system.
Storage and network for big files
We set up fast shared storage or a well-structured cloud setup, with wired connections and quality Wi-Fi where large files move every day.
Shared password manager
Client platform logins move into a company password manager with access by client and multi-factor sign-in turned on wherever the platform supports it.
Restricted folders for embargoes
Embargoed releases and crisis plans sit in restricted folders, visible only to the people working on that account.
Freelancer access with an end date
Freelancers get guest or time-limited accounts tied to a project, which we review and close when the work is delivered.
Licence reviews
We keep a register of creative and productivity licences and flag unused seats so you only pay for the people actually using them.
Systems we support
We work with the software and equipment your business already relies on, and with your software vendors when something needs their help.

- Canva and Figma
- Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace
- Slack or Microsoft Teams for client chat
- Meta Business Suite and Google Ads
- Media monitoring and distribution tools

Cyber securityIT for marketing & pr agencies: questions
Do you support Macs?
Yes. We manage and support Macs as fully as Windows computers, including setup, updates, encryption, remote wipe and the creative software your team uses. Most agencies we speak to run a mix of both, and we look after them together.
How should we store large video and design files?
It depends on your file sizes, team size and internet speed. Some agencies are best served by fast local network storage backed up to the cloud, others by a cloud service with careful sync settings. We measure first, then recommend.
How do we protect clients' social media accounts?
Move every login into a shared password manager, turn on multi-factor sign-in for each platform, and use business manager roles rather than shared passwords where the platform allows. We set that up and review access when staff or clients change.
Can you help us control freelancer access?
Yes. Freelancers get accounts with access only to their project folders and tools, and each has an end date. When the project finishes, we remove access and keep their work in your storage.
Can you set up a new agency office?
Yes. We plan the network, Wi-Fi, data cabling, meeting room screens and printing for a new or refitted space, and quote the project in writing before any work starts.
How do agencies usually pay for support?
Most choose the Managed plan at $119 per user per month plus GST. Small studios that only need occasional help can pay as you go at $109 an hour remote or $159 onsite plus GST.
